I think I've seen your request on some other reptile sites as well as this one. Most of the concern on both the sites that I visit regularly is general care for their beloved pet, how to find a reptile vet, the things pet stores do, and what is normal verus sickness. Maybe you could do a story about captive reptiles starting with the pet stores, the owners of these reptiles and the laws concerning them. I have found everything to be a combination of sad, funny, good advise and alot of caring people.

Summary:
Pet Stores - Showing good pet stores that know there business and bad ones that keep animals in bad conditions. Explain the difference and what to do if you spot a bad one.

Owners - Where did they get their pet. Were they given good advise. Did they realize what they were getting? How do they provide the proper environment. This could help alot of people who don't know what type of care reptiles need.

Advise - Where do people go to get information about their ig, turtle, snake, etc... List web sites, books, and support groups.

Vets - Do most vets know about reptiles? How do you know if they know enough to care for your pet? My regular vet was very honest and said he didn't know anything about my turtle and didn't charge me for the visit. He said that he was the one who learned something.

Laws - Is a reptile on a protective list? Where would you find out? Some laws on the books are just plain funny. In Twin Falls, ID I believe there is still a law on the books that states if your going to walk your alligator it must be on a leash? That came about from the baby alligator craze.
