we run ours 24/7. However, the iguanas have their own bedroom. If you're putting it in the enclosure with with him, watch out for too much moister. Fungus can grow. Also, please be sure to change the filter on a regular basis. We change ours every 3 - 4 weeks (and really wash the humidifer each time).
