It could take some time for her to get use to being picked up. Baby took to being picked up pretty good but if he wasn't in the mood he would dig in with the nails. I also found that if I tried at the same time each day he was a little better about it. Now Guanna on the other hand will almost always rip you to shreads when you pick her up. She just doesn't like it. I have found the only trick with her is to make sure she feels like she is very well suported (hand under her butt and a hand under her frount legs). If I know that I have to move her and know that she will not take it well (takeing her down from the top of Puffie's cage), I wrap her in a towel. Saves on bandages. It all takes time and trust.
