tch...latex...not the best but won't kill Ig...if he happens to scratch some off, eat a piece or lick his claws! MUST have at least 5 days to air out before allowing igs in any treated/painted cage..Lots of other better paints...waterproof epoxy's varnishes etc... I'd make sure their cage is well ventilated because the humidity will cause problems w/ the latex...mold/mildew.... I get the feelin your kids *know* what Ig needs ...but are asserting their...*we know what's best for our reptile* for your benefit. Who knows... He'll be fine..give your kids the addy to here and all the other super sites on iguana care...and LET GO! Im sure if they NEED your help they will come to you!
