In Reply to: Paint inside of a cage ... posted by Ally's Mom on April 26, 2000 at 16:42:44:
: My daughter & her boyfriend have just finished re-doing Iggy's *real* cage at her *real* residence. (She has been with me for 18 months as they could not heat her properly. They want to take her home :o( :o( :o(
: Of course I am worried. They believe they know how to take proper care of her, but there are a few items I am having trouble convincing them of:
: 1) They think she prefers her food in large chunks
: 2) Do not understand why there should be 1 or 2 thermometres in the cage
: 3) Take her outside without a leash - and let go of her AAAHHHH!!They believe she won't run away if startled, because she never has before!
: And lastly, they have asked me about paint. They have painted the inside of her cage to look like Ecuador LOL - but have used latex paint. *IF* I am certain it can't get scratched off and swallowed, is it safe to use? Igs smell so much better than us, and I just can't imagine paint smelling several thousand times worse than it does!!
: ***How long should we wait after painting to bring Iggy over?***
: As usual - thanks everyone.
: Wendy. :o( :o(
: PS - I better watch it, if I keep this up they won't give me any human grand-babies either!
