I use either dog or cat clippers (not sure which) but the handles look like whole punch handles and thy have a big eyelet where the nail goes through the top-- then a sliding moon shaped cutout blade chops off the nail. Just cut the tips. When they are very young, I use regular human toenail clippers, but as they get bigger, these work well. You can replace the blades too.
