MEAN Iggy!

Hi-I took in an iguana that was dropped off at a vet clinic. He was rescued by the police from his home during a drug bust!!!! He has had not socialization and is not cool with any kind of touch. I spoke quietly to him for weeks and got to the point where I could pet his side. I slipped my hand under him and that was it. I have not been able to get close to him since. Also, a huge chunk of his tail is missing. I've heard that it will grow back. Is this true? He also head-bobs a lot. Any hints for me? He is so cute and is a really cool animal. I just wish I could take him outside his cage. Help me please.
