Is it ok to use oak limbs?

Getting some big heavy limbs for my IG cage to be built in 3 weeks!
Gonna go ahead and disinfect them, is oak OK! Got a couple big trees
that fell because of a Hurricane about 7 months back, got some nice big
limbs. Will he try to eat the bark or should I peel it off? Oak bark is very
tough so don't know if he could chew it off? Thanks.
