: : Hi! Have enjoyed reading your posts here; excellent advice! We have a 4 y/o F ig and a 3 y/o M ig. Both in tip top shape with plenty of Texas sunshine LOL I saw your post regarding the oranges and wanted to ask you a question about this. About 4 years ago when we got Lightning we were told that "citric food once a month was once too often" so I've never even tried oranges! Since we got a computer in Oct 97 I have found Kaplan & company & all the people like yourself. I admit I haven't checked any of the sites about oranges...but from what you said they appear to be perfectly safe. Do you think I should try to add this to their diet? The only fruit they like is banana & red seedless grapes so I supplement this part of their diet with T-Rex's Fruit & Flower pellets.
: : Thanks for any advice! P. S. Lightning's male friend is named Thunder :)
: Hey - I'm not iZ's mom, but I would like to add something
: here. Do your iguana's actually like oranges? I have
: read that most iguana's have an aversion to acidic fruits
: like citrus and tomatos.
hmm i'm not iz mom as wel LOL :)
but my ig goes beserk wen i show him an orange,
she wil jump at me like i'm brad pit :) i wish that would work with girls as wel :)
oh and elliot if i'm not wrong tomato is a vegateble (at least here in holland)
and my ig's like tehm but i dont like giving them to much since for humans it takes more calories to burn them
then they give.
but an intresting thing is that usa scientist say that eight meals per week with tomatoes wil drasticly
drop the change of cancer, as some other veggie's wil.
wasn't i lucky working with tomatoes ??? :))
