It is with sad heart that I have to say that Iggy ( the abused one ), died last weekend, probably due to malnutricion, and slightly dehydrated. I couldn't get enough food into him to make a difference, and the Mouth rot was so severe, that 2 weeks later, with treatment the lip was still out of line with lower lip. I had an appointment to take him to a vet, but was too late.
This contributed to his dehydration, inspite of daily bathes. he finally was startinig to eat on his own, and died that same night. It breaks my heart to have any animal die on me, especially one that I have put so much effort into saving. But then I quess that the one you must invest much energy into are the ones that only miracles save. There were no miracles last saturday! Oh well, thanks for all the advice, and inspiration, I will endeaver to get a young one and start with one that is healthy and vigorous. When you strat with someones elses problems, there seldom are satifactory results. Again thank you all.
