A thought occurred to me because of what a friend is going thru with his iguana. Is there any reason to believe that your iguana may be impacted? My friend's ig became skinny & then started having bowel problems, etc. A trip to the vet found his iguana to be impacted on sand that he had apparently been getting in to via escapades in another reptile's cage when left alone during the day.
If I were you, I'd make that trip to the vet just to be sure there isn't an underlying problem here.
