As far as permits...not only big bucks, but import AND export permits required from both countries (that's the way *I* understand it anyway)
I think it would be quite a LONG LONG while before zoo's let loose of any surplus....only a few MAJOR zoos across the US, Australia, Europe
have breeding pairs (conservation)and Im not sure but I think Fijian Igs...only lay 2-6 eggs each clutch and max at 2 clutches a year. That's a long long wait! Maybe cheaper going to prison for the rest of my life trying to smuggle a handful of babies out of the Figi Isles....
