Just keep doing what you're doing. Junior was very "run away, run away" when he was just a little pea pod. Now that he's a big bad dude, he is still "don't bother me", but he's not aggressive and that's all I ask for!
Not every iguana will tame down as much as you want it to. They are all different. Just make him feel secure as much as you can and handle him regularly.
: hi. i have an 8 month old juvenile iguana. these past couple days he has been really scared and testy. nothing has changed really in my caretaking of him. i've still been taking him out several hours a day, supervising him freeroam, etc. he runs away from me when i put him down and flinches at my hand. this is very extreme to his normal behavior. what can i do so he will warm up to me better. his behavior should be improving, not getting worse. :( any advice would be appreciated. thanks, meredith
