Being soooo protected and endangered, you would need pelnty to start a Captive-Breeding program (i.e. a lot of CASH!), and since this is obviously wild-caught, it ain't so legal.
I checked Blair's site, and there are no Fijians there for sale.
Too much of a fuss with legal papers i think.
It is very pretty, but think about it:
1) the cost of the animal
2) vet-bill cost
3) being VERY delicate, cost of captive enviro.
4) maybe some legalities here and there
= you ending up homeless and broke!
Some animals, like the KOMODO, etc., are best to be left alone, and not offered in captivity. It wouldnt be fair for them, they're just too precious.
: I found a guy selling Fiji Banded Iguanas for $8,500. Is this legal? I thought they were protected, if not I sure wish I could afford $8,500 they are the the prettiest lizards in the world.
