I'm lucky in that a) I have a reptile room that stays very warm 24/7, and b) that I like it hot. Junior, my 4 foot iguana free roams in two large rooms and a bathroom. He has a basking spot on top of one of my lizard cages where he spends his morning and eats his food. Then he moves around at will, usually pooping in the same place a few times so just as I start laying down paper towels he switches. He usually goes back to sleep in the same place.
The worst things that have happened have been things knocked off shelves and all my pothos completed eaten down to little stubs. I have another houseplant which I guess isn't poisonous since he left perfectly iguana-shaped bite marks out of the leaves.
Do I love him anyway? You bet I do!!!
: Can anyone tell me how they house a 6 ft iguana? Do people cage them or let them free roam?
