I know it wasn't the flu because a bunch of us showed symptoms (that ate the same food that day). I ate dinner and went to a night class. I started feeling a headache a couple hours after eating-- then just feeling generally not well (weak and feverish followed). It was several hours after that when I got the runs. Then I started vomiting and vomiting and more runs etc. It went on all night until I hit the bile at the pit of the stomach (also didn't know I could make such noises as I never throw up when I'm sick-- sounded like an alien) On a personal note-- I felt very sorry because I shared a dorm room with someone who had to listen to me all night (and we had finals the next day) I'm sure she didn't get any sleep because I was LOUD and repulsive! My boyfriend had to carry me to the clinic the next day (still vomiting bile in the car) I spent that day in the clinic hooked up to an IV (very dehydrated). After it took me a few days to get back to my old self. The ironic part was that my boyfriend complained to the cafeteria who claimed we were mistaken and offered some food for him to take up to me (NO THANKS!)
