Good one momma!
To do this type of inspection, i dip the q-tip in Vodka or Rhum (sp?), to disinfect and "numb" any pain down. Not a lot, just a bit so that it wont irritate the flesh. Puls, the alcohol disinfects the Q-tip. Vodka mightbe better because it's 'tasteless', and alcohol shwabs sting too much to be applied (believe me, i know...:).
