Are you 100% sure she's a she? Sounds more like a sexually mature male to me.
Friends of mine who have lived with super-aggressive males have said that when it came time to feed they moved very quickly and would throw in a pile of salad. To clean the cage they would open the door and let the iguana come out. Once the igster was settled in a basking area, they could go in and clean the cage.
Regardless, you really, REALLY have to use gloves. And if you can get someone to stand by with a broom if the iguana lunges. I know it probably sounds nuts and extreme, but as you now know iguana bites are no little things. Today your hand - tomorrow your face.
: This the second time this week, this one is bad. I had blood everywhere. I have not changed anything, only thing new was dandelion greens. I cleaned her cage yesterday abd took her out and whap she got me on my right index finger. Nothing is different, have not added any other pets, cage in same place since I got her. I have had her a little over a year and a half, she is close to two years old and about 2 feet now. Why is she suddenly starting to bite. Hope someone can give me a little insight here. I held onto her even though I was bleeding bad, she then calmed down and stayed on my shoulder. I kept her out for a while and she was fine. What am I doing wrong here.
