You should have to use anything except newspaper, since the iguana shouldn't be spending any time on the ground. When Junior was caged (before he decided that he was much too important to live like the other lizards), he sat up on his branches and only went to the floor when he wanted out.

Newspaper is cheap, sanitary, easy to change and absorbent.
