I suppose you could keep your iguana in a wire cage IF you had some type of temporary ...like a tarp or plywood or plexiglass panels that can be attached to cover it.... to help retain heat and humidity. Seems like most enclosures are 3walled wood then front plexiglass or wire. Advantages of plexi or acrylic is it DOES maintain the heat & humidity wonderfully, whereas w/ wire you gotta work it a w/ stonger heat lamps,run your humidifer/misters longer etc. Watch out for increased injury too nail loss , nose abrasions w/ wire (even vinyl coated).
A wire cage/ aviary type would be great in the spring and summer months wouldn't it! Especially if you live in humid type states...just let your ig hang outside all summer long!
