I finally got my UV heat light and am very pleased with it. I used it for the first time today and will shut it off at 6:00 pm and put an emitter on until 6:00 the next morning. Remember, I have iggie in a 4 ft open cage. At first I used the extender that I bought with it but it heats the plug up because there is no air circulating to the light so we put the light on 2 bricks to hold it up because the bulb extends out of the dome - it gives off some light and heat - I have the light not directly above iggie but a bit away from him - and he seems to love it. I started using it today so I could keep an eye on him - I've been feeling him alot to make sure he doesn't get too hot but he is not hot at all. I also noticed the great color he is showing with this light. Anyway, I will keep you posted but it seems to be a great investment so far.
