Yes, surely stopping importation of iguanas would cut off easy access and keep many iguanas out of the hands of the uneducated masses. (God, I know, I sound like a horrible snot, please don't take it that way, you know what I mean, right?). So, yes, it's a wonderful idea. Problem is, how do you suggest that we as a group do about it? Realistically speaking, it would probably a pretty unrewarding effort. Not that I wouldn't want to try. Tell you what, if you have an idea as to what we can all do, outline it for us and we can all discuss it. I'm sure a lot of us would be interested in the "crusade,"
Best,

: I was wondering why if some many iguanas are imported and die, so many iguanas are hatched and die, abandoned or just live their life in hell until they are rescued (IF) do we, as a herp aware community allow them to continue to be imported. I can't say for sure but I think the problem would be greatly reduced if we limited or stopped iguana importing. People aren't making much money off the hatchlings. I can't see why we need to deplete the population of other countries. What are your opinions. Again I don't have all the facts but this is just a thought to ponder. Thank you.
