When you say desert ig, are we talking about an smallish, tan colored "dipso" or a chuckwalla? The dipsos, if I remember correctly, eat a small amount of animal protein on a regular basis, kind of like a spiney-tailed iguana. A chuckwalla is a vegetarian, like a green iguana.
