In Reply to: Is there a fruit that can be offered almost everyday? posted by * IGUANA JOE * on March 23, 2000 at 16:43:06:
None of those that you mention is somehting I would recommend feeding everyday. If you want to feed a fruit everyday, it is best that it take up 10% or less of the ig's overall diet, IMO.
A couple of good fruits that could probably be offered everyday would be papayas (peeled and deseeded) and mango (same). The mango may be a little citrus-y for an iguanas mouth for everyday. A good berry to offer (altho not nesessarily everyday) would be raspberries. Or blackberries, they're pretty good too.
HTH!
Best,

: i heard bananas have too much phosphorous.
: How about peaches, apricots, grapes, or berries (any)?
