"chicken wire" is very very bad! it's cuz of the way it's put together, kinda twisted where it forms the 'diamonds' ... it's waaaaaaaaay too easy for an ig claw to get caught in that twisty part and get ripped out ... then you've got an ig with a big owie *and* ya gotta worry yourself sick about infections + fun stuff like that ... not worth the risk!

the stuff called 'hardware cloth' is what you want to use ... it's 'welded' together not twisted ... you can use the metal mesh kind but i've used the plastic kind that comes in a big roll for $10-15 ... it's much easier to cut + work with and you won't have sharp edges to worry about your ig getting hurt on ... i used the kind that's got 1" squares + if you use a dark color, it's actually more "invisible" (i used black) ... and it's stood up to iZ climbing and taking flying leaps at it for a few years now, so it should be strong enough for most igs ...
