Giz..yep Ivermectin is used for heavy mite infestation....it is hard on igs (kidneys) .....Here is the link to Paul Huangs Article on Mite Infestation/ Ectoparasites...its very good and also has the recipe for NIX...an OTC head lice treatment for childern and pregnant women that is safe and effective for igs...in diluted form, For future reference that is.
