I believe that the Ig Den is about the only well known supposed authority that doesn't believe in the effects of goitrogens. I decided to stay with what is more popularly believed...that they can be harmful.
My reasoning is simple. After reading all of the Ig Den's site, including how Kevin seems to respond to anyone who opposes him, I concluded that he has a pretty big opinion of himself. From my past experenice, anyone who thinks that big of themselves usually makes big mistakes. I would prefer it not be with my little baby. Kevin still has lots of good info at the Ig Den if you can get past his ego. Maybe, after more testing in this area, they will find he is right. I will wait for the more testing.
Like Cirsis says, that leaves you to make up your own mind about the subject. If you have read and read, which you seemed to have done, you will have to do what you feel is best for your baby. I always get the feeling that 10 years down the road it will come out that everything we are doing now will be proven wrong. LOL
Joan (just my opinion)
