: I have a 11 year old female Iguana who has developed quite a bad bone infection. (Not Metabolic Bone Disease). It seems that the infection has been slowly progressing over the past year. I took her in almost a year ago because I knew something was wrong. I had x rays taken that showed small deposits around the rib cage. At the time, it was not clear to the vet what was going on. This isn't one of the common Iguana problems. I brought her back in three weeks ago, because she had stopped using her back legs, and had another x-ray taken. The infection has advanced quite a bit since last year. I have total trust in the doctor, but I wanted to check all possibilities to ease my mind. Unfortunately it looks as if there is very little that can be done. I can see a decline on a daily basis with her. Has anyone encountered this before? Thanks.
