he's rather quiet + less active the last couple weeks but you can tell he still at least is *thinking* about jumping on the puppy at night ... *grin* ... he snoozes alot more when he's on his livingroom basking spot + i try to get him in bed earlier, but he throws *such* a fit when he has to go to bed "early"! *geesh* ... i take those as good signs, he's still pretty much feeling like himself ... he's mad at me for the shots + it's gonna be a long time (again) before he isn't instantly on his guard when i go in his room ... *sigh* ... but he lets me make up to him at bathtime and before bed snuggle time ... tho i took ahold of his hand to file his talons tonite + he immediately *reacted* ~ thought i was gonna give him a shot i guess .... poor guy ... i let the nails go for now + we just snuggled instead ...

think the Gelusil is at least absorbing enough to help the 'poop situation' and he went really big again tonight with no probs ... his spike shed is "stuck" again + think he's gonna end up losing the entire spikes sooner or later ... *sigh* ... they're only 1/2 as long as they used to be as it is ... but the old top layer of the spike just won't dry out + loosen, it just constricts the poor spikes ... i hope it doesn't hurt, tho i'd think it'd be pretty uncomfortable ... there's no way to loosen them up at all ... he has a couple of 'new' lesions on his jowls, we assume it's from the toxins in his system that aren't being removed as thoroughly as they should ...

but he's eating good, drinking a bit extra on his own but not in scary amounts, urates are nice + fluffy white, no 'chunks of plaster' things in them any more ... + *pooping* nice again for mom!

he's hangin' in there + am only mildly worried so far ... more bummed out that he has to go thru this crap again ...
