well, it went pretty good ... i must have the technique down pretty good cuz he doesn't even flinch when i put the needle in! it's just towards the end of the injection that it gets owie ...

he was pretty po'd at me + refused to take his bath + poop ... well, can't say i blame him! he got up in his basking spot + chowed down his supper, Gelusil-spiked oranges + all, no prob! (*whew!*) ... let him calm down for a while + then took him back to the tub ... don't know if it's pure coincidence or not, but he pooped BIG-time 2 hrs after the Gelusil ... what a relief for *both* of us! the size of what came out reassures me abit that his kidneys aren't so swollen that they're blocking the colon ... tho i think if they *were* i'd be able to palpate them ... but *geesh* poor iZ, now his mom isn't happy with just any ol' poop, it's gotta be sized right too! *shaking head* ...

anyway ... we're hangin' in there! he really isn't "acting sick", seems like for the most part he's feelin' pretty good + has even been back to being interested in coming down from his livingroom basking spot at night to terrorize the puppy + run over the speedbump bunny ... *grin*

thank you all for the shoulder to whine on, it is *muchly* appreciated! it's definitely one of those things that the anticipation is worse than the reality ... usually ...
