I only have two iguanas now, but one is a female that I hatched, and is now 11. The other is a male and he's 18. Here's his picture, if eboard decides to work. I also had one that lived to 22 but I didn't have him for the first six years.
Even if the person who previously had him was wrong, he still lived at least 19 years. Before you go asking me what the secret is or that I'm full of it, let me tell you that I've also had many that have died while still young. I would say 8 to10 is about right for an average.
None of them are ever offered animal protein, just the regular stuff. Out of all the people on the forum, I can't believe there isn't more old iguanas out there.
