There is no easy answer for this one, but I find when they are on the ground--approaching VERY SLOWLY works for me-- and then when you are close enough, approach slowly with your arms, swooping him up high once you have him in both hands-- then holding tightly if he's outside. However, having him under a house opens up a whole new can of worms. I am afraid it is going to be very tough to get him out from under the house. I would probably go under there and look for him myself-- perhaps carrying a bag to put him in. If you don't go under there, who knows when and where he'll come out (or if) and if he gets out into the open-- you may never see him again.
