The key to which veggies to pick is the calcium to phosphorus ratio. What you're looking for is a ratio of 2:1 (calcium being the higher number). For those of you out there with access to a printer, PLEASE go the the site listed below. Print Jen's lists of foods. Highlight and/or circle the "good" veggies. Take your list to the store each time you shop until you are comfortable with what veggies are the good and which are the bad. After a few weeks, it will be automatic for you what to shop for and what to avoid. Nix any type of chard.
In fact, I would encourage everyone to print Swofford's entire web site to have on hand.
