: Given the overpopulation of baby green Iguanas that are handed out at fairs as prizes and are selling for 10.00 each why would you want to even think of contributing to this mass production of Green Iguanas? I don't want to sound mean about this breeding subject but really think about it before you attempt to bring any more Iguanas into this world. I'm sure you have seen the news posting and also the posting here about the poor little Iguanas in the pet stores. In a pet store were I live they brought in 6 Iguanas last December for Christmas sale, 3 of these Iguanas are still in the pet store. Just my opinion. So if the Iguana laid 40 some odd eggs and they hatched what would you do with all those babies?
If you are really interested in getting more iguanas there are lots to adopt. I would suggest the Iggyden adoption site. But. be prepared to answer a lot of questions on you're knowledge of iguana care.
