one of iZ's *many* vets was a someone who claimed to be an "iGs-pert ... tho i was UNimpressed with her "bedside manner" + NON-examination of iZ, i really wanted blood work done at that point in time ... so she *threw* a towel over him from 4' away (i shoulda walked out then) and whisked him out of the room ... i was furious but hubby talked me down for a while ... after 10 minutes, the "vet" hadn't returned and i went looking for her ... she had iZ swaddled in a towel

trying to get blood out of him!!!!!

to say i freaked out is an understatement ... i can't believe i didn't actually HIT her ... we left + never received a bill ...

the moral of this story is:

Just because someone has other vets in your area believing they are an iguana-vet, DON'T just take it on faith and NEVER leave your ig with a stranger, even a "vet"!!!!!

*geesh* it *still* makes me furious even 6 mo later ...

• I had a tough time finding a vet for my other pets, then I found a place and Julie at TED. Julie also has extensive training and much expreience with all reptiles etc. When I first took Lizzy she done the whole routine, found out she has three of her own, all full grown. Linda 03/08/00 (1)
