Iglets sold at a store, are very young. If I had to make a guess at the age, I would say around 4 to 6 wks MAX.. This is one of the reasons why so many are lost while being shipped to the petstore trade. The stress is overwhelming to such a young iguana. Most of us here push the idea of getting rescued iguana vs buying an iguana at a petstore. And some, myself among them, would like to see a ban on imported iguanas.
You might or might not know this, but your little guy/girl will grow to around 5 or 6 feet long within a 5 to 7 year span and needing a large cage or area to live in.
