If you measure from snout (nose) to vent (where the poop comes out), you get the SVL (snout to vent length. This is the one most commonly used because sometimes bad things happen to good igs tails making them "shorter" iguanas. From there sometimes a guess can be made on the age.
I am MORE concerned about your question regarding twitching. Is yours twitching? What parts? All parts? Could you go in to detail on this? I'm concerned that your iguana may actually have a problem (calcium deficiency is 1st thought)if you are talking about certain kinds of twitches.
Don't panic because there are some normal ones *grin* but if a problem is starting, it can be fixed very easily in the early stages. So please come back with more information and someone will post up.
