Calcium is only one of the problems but without the proper UVB lighting, your iguana will be facing health problems. Green Iguanas need at least 5.0 UVB lighting every day for around 12 to 14 hours depending of the season and how much natural sunlight it gets. In the summer, at least 4 hours of direct sunlight per week, should be given to your iguana. House windows DO NOT allow UVB rays to come into the house, so forget setting your iguana next to a window.
With UVB lighting, it should be NO more than 18" away from the iguana for most of the day.
The following areas are the most important for a healthy iguana:
1. UVB- 5.0
2. Diet- do search on forum
3. Temp- 95 day 75 night
4. Humidity- 75 or more
you can run a search at the top of the forum page on anyone of the above items and get a list of postings regarding them.
I wish you the best for your Ig and U
