Shredding greens is fine and I would recommend that for smaller iguanas. Our large female (Lola) prefers her greens LARGE. Now keep in mind that there is no one out in the rain forest with a food processor shredding greens for the wild iguanas. So, to be honest, your theory that shredding is better, I do not buy.
Also, you might want to take a hard look at what you're feeding your iguana. Kale and any types of "chard" are not very good for iguanas (same goes for the carrots). A small amount of those probably won't hurt the iguana too much, but when there are better greens out there, use them.
Also, I'd strongly recommend you enlarge your selection on mixed veggies. Carrots and peppers aren't enough. Variety is key. Go take a look at Jen Swofford's site. Her list of veggies is long and it lists the good and bad.
As Harry's Dad stated, I'd highly recommend that you have some blood work done. Looks can be very decieving. Back in the olden days when people were told to feed their iguanas animal protien, it bulked up the iguanas, but ended up killing them in the long run.
I certainly do not mean to knock what you're doing, but we do have a lot of new people here and they really need to here another opinion on the diet saga.
