I have two iguanas, one male, one female, 3 1/2 years old. The male is very aggressive and has scratched the female's back. I've given her a bath, applied Betadine and Polysporin ointment, but the wound does not appear to be healing. How long should healing take? Do they need to be separated? They live indoors in a huge cage with two lights and two hot rocks and are exposed to daylight. There is plastic enclosure in the cage that she goes to when he becomes overly aggressive. I'm assuming this is typical behavior; am I wrong? Thanks for any information.
