be very very sure that he can't break thru the screen even if you're there watching him! make sure the screen is sturdy enough to withstand any sudden bangs against it and/or scratching at it ...

the screen might block some of the sunlight but it's not filtering it like plastic/glass does ... iZ loves to sit in the window when it's nice out too ...
