We woke up Sunday morning and she was very weak and could hardly breathe. By the time we got ahold of the vet she was just laying limp in my lap. For a few minutes I thought she was dead, then she took a deep breath and sat up. We got her to the vet by 10:30 am, the vet checked her out and believe it or not he couldnt find anything wrong other than she had bad color and had lost weight. During the day her temper got really bad(just about chewed katy's finger right off) and seemed to improve a little. We started her on baytril suspecting a respitory infection. To make a long story short, she got worse every day from there on. This all started after we put a waterfall in her enclosure hoping to raise the humidity. What are the odds that there was too much humidity and not enough air flow? Her enclosure is 8 feet tall,4 feet wide and about 4 feet deep. Plexiglass front, wood sides, and the top quarter of the enclosure is screen. We adopted this ig about a year ago in very poor shape(three broken legs and bone thin). I am just happy that we gave her a better life while we had her.
Thanks,
glenn
