I think I can relate to what you're going through.
My 6-year-old Q has kidney damage. Diagnosed last
fall, we had a long, tough winter. I nearly lost
him, but he rebounded great through the spring and
summer. But as cold weather and breeding season
set in, I started seeing trouble signs again.
He checks out relatively well with his vet, but
something about this time of year just seems to
kick his little green butt.
I think renewing iZ's Amphogel/pedialyte treatment
is a good idea, but I'd hold off on the Baytril.
Antibiotics are tough on the kidneys and should
only be used when absolutely necessary. Do you
have iZ on NeoCal or anything? I've had to
increase Q's dosage recently.
I hope iZ's setback is minor and short-lived.
