the idea has some merit-- education is always good, although another good idea I've seen posted here is-- raising the prices of iguanas & other reptiles. I would have paid $100 for a baby iguana because I love them! Moms & kids and others aren't as likely to shell out that kind of money on a whim (not as likely as the $12 price tag on them now) If pet stores charged that much and only carried one or two, it would be much better for the industry-- and perhaps they would take care of them better because they are not as expendible. And they would have to because people paying that much would demand a healthy animal.
