: We cut down a bunch of BIG nice branches when trimming the oak trees out front (some type of oak). They are too big to boil or stick in the oven so what else can I do? I was thinking of coating them with a shalack(sp?) as I did a nice piece of driftwood last year. I was hoping not to have to strip the bark. What are all of your thoughts on this?
youre taking a big chance you need to strip the barrk off then soak the branches in bathtub with bleach and water branches from ouside carry pests and parasites even if you cant see them they go deep into wood trust me i now my reptile cught parasites this way you can get good wood pices cheap at www.bigappleherp.com watch what yore doing trust me
