: Hey, if anyone has any information that may be of some help I would greatly appreciate it. My husband just recently bought our first iguana. He is thinking about buying a water dragon or possibly a sand dragon. Does anyone else have thoughts on either of these animals? Let me know.....
: Thanks...
: Julie
Chinese Water dragons have some simmilarities to Green Iguanas. They like to climb but, have also been known to burrow. They need a basking area and a "cool spot". When young they can be fed much like an iguana (like Melissa Kaplan's diet). But, adults are also fed mealworms and pinky mice. They get 2-3 feet and the males are usually more agressive than the females. There seems to be less trouble with the breeding aspect than with iguanas. I believe that Melissa Kaplan's site has some info on them. Sorry, I don't know enough about Sand Iguanas to offer any suggestions.
