It's me, Flower *grin* Couldn't resist...since I also have a friend that goes by Bambi LOL Anyway, about that soap question you had...I seem to recall looking in to this once before and coming up with Castile soap being okay to use when needed. Castile is the brand name and it is what they used in the Neo-Natal Intensive Care Unit with my twins when they were born ;o)
However, I also recall that this sort of question was bounced around the Iguana Mail List some time. I'll run a search engine on the archives there and post any hard info I get on it here.
From personal experience, I can tell you that it is safe to use a bit of Dawn dishwashing soap on a baby iguana that has swum in a pan of Canola oil. (Not to worry, it was cold oil) Vet advised use of Dawn & as it was 5 years ago, I suppose it was not toxic to him *grin* IMHO Dial would be too drying as IMHO it dries out human skin.
I'll get back with you here under my post in the next couple of days if I get any hits on it.
