I wouldn't use antibacterial soap on much of anything.We keep our kids cages clean and I personally kiss them and haven't had a problem.
Baby shampoo is believe it or not,,,strong.It's used to take cardle cap off of babies scalps and while it doesn't burn their eyes,,,it is stronger than you think.
If you use reasonable cleanzing practices,,,they should be fine.And have your kids use good hand washing techniques.Hot water and soap will kill off most bad germs.We do need some germs to help the world go round and we are never going to kill them all,,,just make them stronger.JMHO
