You can get the wire at home depot, just make sure you're careful as you can cut yourself (and the igs can cut themselves on the edges if you don't design it so the edges are covered. We built one like this for an outdoor cage but our inside cages are now glass and melamine (that particle board covered with an easily cleanable countertop material). I spent quite a bit on buying mine online but I wanted something that looked better than the last big wood/plexiglass/ wire one I built. In hindsight, I should have bought a bigger one for the ig, but maybe we can work towards him being a free roamer in the future.

As for the size of the wire mesh, just make sure he can't get through it (a mid size one is fine).
