i'm really paranoid about infection ... so that said ... i'd have a vet look at the burns + see what s/he recommends!

iZ 'tasted' his heat lamp once (we were both younger + not as smart) ... vet gave us "silvadene" to use on his burned tongue ... it's prescription antimicrobial cream used specifically for burn in animals and humans ...

then iZ burned his side on the heat lamp at the vet's ig-hospital ... used silvadene again until it was healed (no scab left) and have been putting aloe vera gel on it daily since then to keep the skin from becoming too taut/itchy as it finishes healing ... (this one happened 3 mo ago, btw) ... it has healed nicely but of course has no scales there + skin just looks very dry still ... he seems to *really* appreciate the aloe being rubbed in there too ...

*tongue flix for your iggy from iZ, he knows burns hurt!*
